About Us

Welcome to the City Centre Da’wah Give A Qur’aan website.

City Centre Da’wah is a charity that was formed in the West Midlands of the United Kingdom, by a collection of Muslim brothers from different ethnic backgrounds, to invite the general public to learn more about Islām.

The word “Da’wah” is from the Arabic language that essentially means to invite or to call. So we invite you to order a free copy of the Qur’aan and learn more about the beautiful way of life known as Islām.

We invite you to worship your Lord and Creator, the Creator of all that exists, the Self-Sufficient, the All-Mighty and to single Him out alone in worship.

We invite you to worship the Lord of all of the Prophets, of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, David, Solomon, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (May Allāh grant them all peace and security).

We invite you leave off the association of partners in worship with Allāh and call you to implement the statement: “There is none worthy of worship, in truth, except Allāh.”

Do not take intermediaries between you and your Lord and do not ask the dead or living (who cannot hear or answer) to intercede on your behalf with Allāh.

We invite you to worship Allāh alone (the One free of all imperfections, the Most High) in the exact manner as prescribed in Islām, that He commanded through His Messengers and Prophets. Do not follow ones desires in worship or blindly follow ones forefathers.

We call you to worship the One that we all look up towards the sky too and beseech in times of distress.

We invite you to read the last revelation from God, the Qur’aan, revealed to Muhammad (ﷺ), the last messenger and prophet sent for the whole mankind and jinn (supernatural creatures).

By ordering the Qur’aan today, totally FREE of charge, you will inevitably see why others have changed their lives and found the true purpose of their existence Inshaa’Allaah (God Willing).

About Qur'aan

What is The Qur'aan?

Like the Torah and the Injeel (the gospel revealed to Jesus), the Qur’aan (sometimes spelled Qur’aan, Koran, Coran) is revelation from our Lord and Creator. The Qur’aan is the final revelation, revealed to Muhammad, the last Messenger, (ﷺ) in order to return people to the true monotheistic religion of all previous Prophets and Messengers. The Qur’aan is still preserved in its original, Arabic language and is free from error, addition or subtraction. The fundamental message from our Creator in the Qur’aan is the same as that revealed in the previous scriptures; to worship none but God, not to associate partners in worship with Him and to enjoin good and forbid evil. This message was confirmed and implemented by His appointed Prophets and Messengers.

“And who believe in (the Qur’aan and the Sunnah) which has been sent down (revealed) to you (Muhammad ﷺ) and in [the Turât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), etc.] which were sent down before you and they believe with certainty in the Hereafter. (Resurrection, recompense of their good and bad deeds, Paradise and Hell, etc.).” [Qur’aan, 2:4]

Please note that we only supply the translation of the meaning of Noble Qur’aan in different languages totally free of charge.

About Islam

What is The Islam?

Islām is an Arabic word which means ‘surrender’. This means to accept the power of Allāh, and follow His Commands. Happiness in this life and success in the life after death can only be obtained by obeying Allāh. Islām is not just a religion, but a complete way of life. This means that it shows us how to live all aspects of our lives in the best possible way. There are five pillars on which Islām stands, they are:

  1. To firmly believe in the heart and declare “Laa ilaaha illAllāh, Muhammadur-Rasulullah” which means “there is no deity worthy to be worshiped but Allāh and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger.”. This is what is meant by Iman (Belief)
  2. To pray five times a day (perform Salah).
  3. To pay Zakat (Charity)
  4. To fast during the month of Ramadan.
  5. To go on Hajj (pilgrimage) to Makkah once in a lifetime if one can afford it.

A person who accepts Islām is called a Muslim. It means ‘one who surrenders.’ A Muslim is required to do all that Allāh and His Messenger (ﷺ) have asked of them and to keep away from doing things which Allāh and His Messenger (ﷺ) have forbidden mankind not to do. Allāh and His Messenger (ﷺ) have told us to do good deeds, like being dutiful to our parents, helping others who are less fortunate and to be kind to animals. (Truly, the religion with Allāh, is Islām – Qur’aan, 3:19).

Important Note

Please keep in mind ANY translation (interpretation) of the Qur’aan will most definitely contain errors in its translation. In its natural language (Arabic), the Qur’aan is the direct Word of Allāh (God) to mankind through the prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). Any translation of the Qur’aan no longer retains that ‘official’ and perfect status, however it can be tremendously helpful to students beginning and wanting to learn more about Islām. We would strongly encourage those that want to learn about Islām to obtain a hardcopy of the Qur’aan but with the following conditions:

  1. Get one with commentary (e.g Tafseer ibn Kathir)
  2. Make sure the commentary is scholarly (e.g. references to reasons behind a verse, references to Hadith and sunnah (prophet Muhammad’s teachings (ﷺ).
